a brief bio of the beards competing:

garrett's beard - certainly the underdog in this competition, garrett's beard's main strategy is to clean up in the skivviness category - that is truly his only hope. garrett's beard once attempted to shave itself into a chinstrap, which ended discouragingly in sideburns. we have not yet given up hope on this young, spry up-and-comer - garrett's beard is a worthy competitor. garrett's beard's idols include taylor stevenson, andrew w.k., and karl marx.

andy's beard - andy's beard is already pretty damn sweet. the fullness category will be easily swept by this seasoned irish beard. born as little sideburns in 2001, andy's beard has unfurled its potential and is ready to take on the world! andy's beards idols include zz top, the black rider a.k.a. tricycle guy from square st. louis, and turkish privateeer oruc reis.
